In the summer we went to Hawaii for the first time! The first few days we spent on Kauai. It was pretty quiet there. We went to a bunch of beaches and had good food. The shave ice was crazy expensive though, $9 for one!

On our first day there we were a little jetlagged and got up at 4am! Daddy decided to go see tidepools really early, but then he fell and sprained his wrist!

We spent a lot of time wading in the water at the beach. We tried not to go too deep.

But sometimes we did... and a wave would wipe us out!

We went to a beach where sea turtles like to crawl onto the beach and watched them. They were huge!

We heard a lot of good things about shave ice, but there aren't as many places on Kauai. This place only had fancy ones that we didn't like that much, though they look pretty!

Before leaving Kauai, we went on a train ride and got to feed lots of animals.
