Hawaii Part 1

In the summer we went to Hawaii for the first time! The first few days we spent on Kauai. It was pretty quiet there. We went to a bunch of beaches and had good food. The shave ice was crazy expensive though, $9 for one!

On our first day there we were a little jetlagged and got up at 4am! Daddy decided to go see tidepools really early, but then he fell and sprained his wrist!

We spent a lot of time wading in the water at the beach. We tried not to go too deep.

But sometimes we did... and a wave would wipe us out! — But sometimes we did… and a wave would wipe us out!

We went to a beach where sea turtles like to crawl onto the beach and watched them. They were huge!

We heard a lot of good things about shave ice, but there aren't as many places on Kauai. Before leaving Kauai, we went on a train ride and got to feed lots of animals.

The cows ate everything that we shoved into their mouths.

Spring Break in Mariposa

We went to Mariposa over spring break with our cousins, and it was the best trip over! The weather was kind of crazy. When we got there we swam in a very cold pool, and the next day we drove into Yosemite and went on a nice hike. It was sunny and warm. The next day it snowed like crazy! We decided to stay in and spent all day playing in the snow.

On the first day, we went into Yosemite and it was sunny and warm. We hiked Lower Yosemite Falls and Kayli was scared that Leia would fall off the cliff.

It started snowing during lunch, so we went outside to stand in it! It was the first time we saw falling snow!

Back at the cabin, we worked hard to build a snow fort.

Leia took a rest on the swing with her huge snowball.

Socal Christmas

Over Christmas break we went to Socal. Last year we did Disneyland and Universal Studios, so this time we tried Knotts Berry Farm! We also did all the normal stuff — saw friends, ate Korean and Taiwanese food, lots of boba, and of course Tea Station.

We went on this roller coaster a bunch of times before it got crowded!

We went to Boomers in Irvine where Daddy won a 600 ticket ring from the claw machine!

Daddy brought us to his old work Blizzard. They had a cool library where they gave us tons of Blizzard stickers.

Daddy waited a looong time to get boba at Omomo.

We went to a light show at the Arcadia Arboretum. We walked through the whole thing twice!

And there were crawfish crossing the street! So weird!

And of course, we ate at Daddy's favorite Tea Station and got tons of drinks to go. — And of course, we ate at Daddy’s favorite Tea Station and got tons of drinks to go.

East Coast Trip Part 3

Our last few days in Virginia were awesome. We mostly just played at their house, which is the best house we’ve been to. Can’t wait to go back.

We visited the Shenandoah Caverns in Virginia, where Kayli was scared that the stalactites would fall down and kill us! — We visited the Luray Caverns in Virginia, where Kayli was scared that the stalactites would fall down and kill us!

We had tons of fun at Cox Farms. It was like cheap Disneyland with no lines!

We got to watch Elemental in their home movie room with buttery movie theater popcorn!

Our last meal was a delicious hot pot dinner, and Uncle Brian took this awesome selfie afterwards.

East Coast Trip Part 2

After Philadelphia, we drove to Virginia to stay with Toby, Oakley and Sierra! We love Sierra! They have the biggest best house ever. We went to Washington DC for a day and looked at famous monuments, the White House, and a museum. We ate at a cool restaurant that had kettle corn, and it was super hot so we got ice cream treats from a truck!

Sierra is our new favorite person and the little sister that we both wish we had!

We went to the White House where the President lives but we did not get to see him, or where he sleeps or works. We saw a lot of fancy paintings and furniture.

We went to the Washington Memorial where Kayli took pictures when she was 5 months old!

East Coast Trip Part 1

During Fall break, we had the best trip ever. We went to Virginia and stayed with Toby, Oakley, and Sierra! Before that though, we first stopped in Philadelphia where we saw some boring historical things and ate too many cheesesteaks.

We might look happy, but the Liberty Bell was the most boring thing to see ever.

Before getting to the Rocky steps, we climbed these animal statues and ate very expensive soft serve from Mister Softee.

Daddy prepared us for the Rocky steps by letting us watch the clip from the movie a few times. We took this picture and ran up and down the steps 18 times!

We tried to make this look cool but it was too bright!

Big Sky and Yellowstone, Part 2

After Mommy’s conference ended, we drove to Yellowstone. We stayed at small hotel in West Yellowstone where there we saw lots of mosquitos, but did not get bit by moving are arms really fast like Daddy showed us. In Yellowstone we saw tons and tons of geysers and bison. We tried really hard to find wolves or bears but didn’t. We did a great job walking a ton! We ate instant ramen for lunch, and terrible, terrible Chinese food for dinner.

We watched Old Faithful erupt a bunch of times!

We did funny sister poses in front of geysers and tons and tons of steam!

We saw really cool colorful pools of water. Kayli was worried that Leia would fall or jump in.

We saw the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Kayli was scared that Leia would fall or jump into the canyon.

Big Sky and Yellowstone, Part 1

At the beginning of summer we flew to Montana! Mommy had a conference in Big Sky, and we stayed at a nice hotel where cowboys opened the door for us every time we got close. It was weird so we tried to never go through those doors. The hotel had some cool activities though, and lots of hikes nearby. We did the hikes and didn’t even have to get prizes from a gift store this time!

We went into a giant hot tub while Mommy was in her conference. It was too hot for Kayli!

We went on a hike in Big Sky and ended up going through tons of snow, in summer!

We went on another hike and looked for animals, but found none! We did find cool logs, ate lots of snacks, and had fun finding shelter from the rain.

Leia is very good at jumping high. She really works those leg muscles!

Socal and Legoland

We drove to Socal again for 2023 spring break. The last time we did Disneyland and Leia cried because she wanted to go to Legoland instead, so this time we did Legoland! It was great… except for the rain. We bought Legoland rain ponchos. Daddy put grocery bags around his feet. But we still had fun!

We fall asleep on long car rides still. Socal is so far! At least we got to listen to Harry Potter in the car!

We still like to take pictures with Lego statues.

We waited in line for TWO HOURS for this Emmet's Flying Adventure ride, in the rain. It was the worst, especially because the ride was not fun. Softball!

We have not posted in a long time. Our website had some problems and Daddy finally fixed them, so hopefully the posts will continue. A lot of stuff happened in the last year! This first post is about softball. We both started softball last Spring. Kayli was on the 8U Panthers, and Leia on the 6U Puppies. Our uniforms almost match!

We also got to go watch a Stanford softball game! And by watch, we mostly just ran around outside eating candy and rolling down hills.
