We made it through Christmas break with NO coronavirus! Here are our Christmas performances during our last week of school. We both sang and participated this year because there were no parents watching! And why are we so close together?? We are suppsoed to be 6 feet apart!

We have gotten soooo good at social distancing and wearing masks. We wear masks all day at school, except when we eat. We wear masks whenever we go out. We don’t get close to anybody — except Mommy and Daddy. Mommy bought like a million thousand hundred masks because we are picky and the masks don’t fit on our faces.

P.S. Actually, Kayli is good at wearing masks and they fit her face fine. Meimei is not as good… and her face is shaped funny… and she has gotten sick twice already!
A couple of months ago, Kayli asked Daddy to build a house for us every day. Daddy thought she meant a Lego house, but no, she meant a house that we could fit in. So then Daddy decided to build it! Here it is!

This year we could not decide what to be for Halloween. First it was going to Simba and Nala. Then it was going to be Mary Poppins and… Mary Poppins. Somehow, in the end we both decided to be Gogo Squeez! Meimei wore Kayli’s old costume and then Mommy and Daddy made a new one for Kayli! Nainai helped too. On Halloween night we trick or treated at Nainai’s house and one neighbor’s house. Somehow Daddy ate most of the candy, but luckily we got a whole bunch more from Auntie Lisa! Our cousins let us borrow their roller skates and roller blades, and we love them! Meimei got some roller skates and Kayli got new roller blades. We started out super slow, but now we have elbow pads, knee pads, wristguards, helmets, no fear, and go super (slightly) fast!

Meimei makes the BIGGEST mess when eating watermelon because she squishes all the juice out first and then drinks it with a straw!
Now that we are in school, we don’t get to hang out together as much. But every morning before school and afternoon after school and weekend, we do funny things together. We are best sisters when Meimei is not being mean… and she’s mean a lot. But we do find lots of things to do together.

On August 19, we started school! Kayli started Kindergarten and Leia started Preschool at Seabreeze. It’s super close to home and sometimes Mommy brings scooters when she picks us up and we ride home! We wear masks all day (mostly) and we can’t touch anyone! We have to bring all our food for the day in disposable bags. Kayli eats everything and Meimei throws everything away. Then when we get home Meimei says she is hungry and cries and fusses and gets time outs. Every day.

We did more teamwork to get the stretchy thingy down from the monkey bars. First, Kayli needs to pull it down a little bit because she is about an inch taller than Meimei. Then, Meimei needs to pull down the rest because she is very brave and has a hard head.
