This post is just because Daddy took two months to get the pictures off his camera, but at least he found some good ones. We got to do outdoor dining for the first time since covid. It is much better than eating in the trunk of the Prius. We also did lots and lots of walking and climbing rocks. It took us forever to walk anywhere because we always had to stop to climb rocks whenever we saw one, and… Yosemite has tons and tons of rocks.

We got to skip 2 days of school to go to Yosemite! The first thing we learned was that we hate long car rides and that Meimei gets carsick in windy car rides. When we finally got there though it was awesome! We got to sleep in a cabin tent and had to put all our food in a locker so the bears wouldn’t get it. We saw a huge waterfall and ate tons of pizza.

Many years ago, Kayli did not like the beach. She was scared of the water and of the sand, so she could only sit on a blanket. So, we didn’t go to the beach anymore. After a couple years, Mommy and Daddy decided to try going again, and… we loved it! It was freezing cold and super cloudy, but we loved the beach! Maybe Hawaii will actually be fun!

So Kayli got Coronavirus and it was kind of the worst. Actually she was barely sick but she had to stay in her room for 10 days and we couldn’t play with each other or get close to each other and it was the worst! And we don’t know how she got it! Luckily we were super good at not getting close to each other and nobody else got it! Leia had to play with Daddy all day every day, and she only likes him a little. After playing with him for 10 days though, she likes him a medium amount.

We learned some new patriotic songs!
Sometimes when Leia really likes her food, she does a yummy dance. Mommy and Daddy don’t like it when we get out of our chairs while we are eating, but I think when we do it to dance they seem to not get as mad. This one time a couple weeks ago, Daddy tried to copy Leia’s cookie dance and he almost broke his head and we almost had to bring him to the doctor but then he was fine. I guess he’s just old.

Happy birthday to my favorite sister!!! You are 4! I remember when you were a tiny baby and I was a fussy toddler. Then I was 4, and you were 2! I’m pretty sure I was way more mature when I was 4 than you are now… but anyways… I can’t believe you are so old! You can do so many things by yourself now. You don’t wear pullups anymore, and you pee by yourself and poop by yourself and change by yourself and brush your teeth by yourself. Well, sometimes you do at least. You can even ride a bike by yourself and got super good at rollerblading really fast!
Meimei, I have so much fun playing with you every day and I love you even though you scream and fuss and are really not that nice sometimes. But you are a little nicer now that you are 4. Happy birthday Leia!

Sometimes we learn funny things at school and we tell each other about it. Usually we tell each other as soon as Daddy picks us up, while there are 3 cars waiting for us to get buckled up and Daddy is yelling at us to get buckled up. Sometimes we tell each other at dinner, and for some reason this time it was very, very funny.

We are not very good at eating dinner. Mostly Meimei. Sometimes we can’t stop talking and Daddy is done eating before we even started. Sometimes Meimei refuses to eat anything and lies down on the floor. Usually, we end up making huge messes all over the table, chair, and floor, we stand on our chairs and then Daddy yells at us, and Mommy ends up having to feed Meimei. Oh and also, usually one of us ends up going poop in the middle of dinner. SOMETIMES though, we really like the food and eat everything!

We used to only eat salmon off Mommy’s plate, not our own. Now, we make seaweed salmon sandwiches!
The one thing we always eat is pesto pasta! Meimei loves mushrooms, and saying Mmmmm! when she eats them.
Kayli is 6!!! In the last year, Kayli went from being a ridiculous tantrumy kid to a surprisingly reasonable small person! She is very logical, calm (mostly), patient, and often the only person who can calm Meimei down during her frequent screaming and crying tantrums. Kayli always shares stuff with Meimei and lets Meimei have her way. She loves to make cards and presents for people, and to watch TV! She loves to eat croissants, xian rou su bing, egg mcmuffins, innout burger, and pizza. Oh and she loves chocolate chip cookies with no chocolate chips. Happy 6th birthday Kayli!

This year we couldn’t go anywhere during Christmas vacation because of coronavirus. It’s so bad right now! We wanted to see all of our family or go somewhere fun but all we could do was play at home. We drove Daddy crazy the first week and Mommy crazy the second week!
